Datawind Ubislate is an ultra low cost 2G tablet equipped with a large 7 inches resistive touchscreen display and a resolution of 800x480 pixels. It is powered by 700MHz Conneaut CPU with graphics accelerator and HD video processor and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. It sports a Music player with 3.5mm audio jack, video player with HD quality video playback, upto 3 hrs of battery life, 256MB RAM, 2GB internal memory and expandable memory upto 32GB . It offers connectivity options like GPRS, Wi-Fi and USB and is Ubisurfer browser enabled. It supports e mail, instant messenger, document viewer, educational software and comes preloaded with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and many more applications. This tablet,also known as Aakash is the government’s initiative to bridge the gap between the rural India and the ongoing technology boom in the country.
